Fashion month: The end.

Fashion month is closing tomorrow with the final collections from Paris. From the slow start in New York, Paris has been a refreshing change into the gaudy, artsy side of fashion.

Fashion heavy-hitter Karl Lagerfeld took over a barn as the setting for the ready-to wear Spring 2010 show. Models stomped around in heels on the hay covered floor. While mostly showing black, white and tans, the designs for each garment could not be more pristine.

Ever at the opposite end of the spectrum is Marc Jacobs, the head designer for Louis Vuitton. Before Jacobs was called to design for Louis Vuitton in the late nineties, the brand was more demure. This season Jacobs again called for a more extravagant case of designs. In regards to the Louis Vuitton collection Jacobs said, "I think people love to show off." Each model showcased not only the collection but a giant Afro.

Alexander McQueen was another eccentric collection. Every piece was not oozing with flamboyancy, however. He managed to portray both brilliantly structured pieces and sleek, modern designs on the same runway.
